Field Trip Tomorrow

Good morning,

We are looking forward to our field trip tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 13 to the Tellus Science Museum. Please read below for important information concerning how our day will go.

• We will leave around 9:30 and arrive back to Lewis around 1:15.

• Please try to send in a snack with your child. We will not eat until we return to school, which is a little later than normal. Having a healthy snack prior to leaving will curb their hunger until we return.

• Since we are eating at school, your child’s sack lunch does not need to be in a disposable bag. Do know that, even though we are eating at school, any student who buys a school lunch will get a sack lunch, not a hot lunch.

• Please be sure your child wears comfortable clothing and shoes. We do a lot of walking, and students will occasionally sit on the floor. Pants and tennis shoes are recommended. Students may bring a jacket, but we will not be spending a great deal of time outside – just the walk to the building and back to the bus.

• Students may bring money for the gift shop. They will be given an informational flyer with examples of some of the items available to purchase. Students are responsible for keeping up with their own money. Wallets are a good idea.

Also, if you have not yet sent in the donation, please consider sending in whatever you can afford. As of last Friday, we were still short about $200. Any amount would be appreciated! If you have any other questions or concerns, please let me know.
