First Day Success!

Hello Team Moore Parents,

Wow! What an excellent group of third graders I have this year! I am so excited to get to know them even more!

Today we did a lot of getting to know you activities and some supply organizing. We even did a little bit of math at the end of the day. Can you tell me what my new number would be if I increase 347 by 10? by 100? by 1? What would it be if I decrease it by 1, 10, or 100? We will be doing a lot of place value review this first quarter. They did great with it today! The students even got a sneak-peek of cursive writing by practicing the letter "i". So much fun!

Be on the lookout! I sent home a First Day Folder from the County. There are just a couple of papers that need to be signed and returned in there (Receipt of Parent Handbook and Permission to Photo). I also sent home a code for each student today so that you can access their Class Dojo account. Check it out! We even put a picture on our class story of one of the getting to know you activities we did today!

Again, we had a wonderful first day of third grade. I am looking forward to what the rest of the year brings.

Please let me know if you would like to opt out of class emails. I have included all the emails I received during Sneak-a-Peek on our class master list. Send me an email requesting to be removed if need be, and I will be happy to do so.

I can't wait to see the kids bright and early tomorrow!

One more thing...If possible and haven't already, please send in a pencil pouch or pencil box for your child's supplies. It was not on the school supply list, however, after some of the organizing we did today, it might be helpful for your student to keep track of their supplies. If you have any questions, please let me know!
