Dear Lewis Families,

You will be able to pick up student materials this coming week on May 7 & 8 in the bus port from 12:00-3:00 pm. You will not need to exit your vehicle in any way. Staff members will be at the curbs to assist you.

May 7: PreK-2nd grade families

May 8: 3rd-5th grade families

**Families with students in multiple grades may pick up either day.

  • Traffic flow – families will enter the bus port entrance, and drive along the right-hand curb.

  • You may drop any library books off with Mr. Sproat at their first stop. (If you are still reading them, by all means, you may hold on to them for now as well)

  • Then you will pull up along the curb near the bus port entrance where staff members will be with radios in hand.

  • Please tell the staff member the teacher name and last name of your student(s)

  • This information will be relayed to our volunteers in the cafeteria who will locate your student’s materials and bring them to your vehicle

  • After you receive your items, please circle towards the gym. If you have medication to pick up, stop at the gym doors to see Nurse Weaver.

  • If you do not have medication to pick-up continue out and exit the campus

More Information regarding medication pick up:

Dear Parents/Guardians:

This is an official notification from Cobb County Schools. If your student has medication in the Lewis Elementary School clinic, please report to the school on either May 7 or May 8 between the hours of 12:00 – 3:00 pm for medication pick up.

Please note that the school building will be closed after these dates for the rest of the school year. If you do not pick up medication on these dates during these times, the medication will be disposed of. Communicate in advance via phone or email if you will send a designee to pick up your student’s medication.

When you report to the school, you must remain in your vehicle. A staff member will be waiting outside to assist you with medication pickup. There will be no out-of-vehicle contact due to social distancing requirements. Medication will be place in the trunk or handed through a window.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Robert Babay & Karen Osterhoudt
